Linden Postcard Show ~ 2015

Sooooo, this year l will NOT be missing out on this beautiful little (big) show. Unfortunately (and very fortunately) l was up in QLD last year, assisting a beautiful ‘Awakenings Retreat’ ~ but that meant that l wasn’t able to catch the exhibition which featured over 900 works. And what’s even more surprising (well, for me) is that l sold one Soul Stories piece, from the three that were submitted…
Anyways, this year is a whole different ball game ~ this time I’m really looking forward to checking it out in the real, to be inspired up close and to meet some wonderful artists…
Winning prizes and selling my creations are the last thing on my mind. For me it’s so much more about pushing my artistic boundaries to meet the requirements of the show, to build my confidence in getting my work out there and connecting with the public who might be a little bit touched by what they see. Of course l wouldn’t say that l ‘wouldn’t’ be over the moon if anything were to sell or win, haha…
Hope to see some friendly faces on opening night, much love & light, t x
.
OPENING CELEBRATION: Friday 18 September 2015 > 4 to 8PM
The much-loved Linden Postcard Show is an annual feature of the Linden calendar. An open entry exhibition for all artists from hobbyist, emerging to established, allows for an explosion of colour on the gallery walls. The only restriction is the size.
All works must be exactly 8 x 10 inches.
“Only a few more sleeps before the opening of the wonderful Linden New Art Postcard Show.
It is another fabulous year this year, so if you can’t get along to our opening tomorrow night between 4-8pm, make sure you pop in to see the show before 21 November.”
Four judges have been selected to award the prizes and assist in celebrating the creativity of our community.
The 2015 Linden Postcard Show judges are:
~ Abi Crompton, Director, Third Drawer Down
~ Pat Mackle, Managing Director, Avant Card
~ Francis Parker, Curator (Exhibitions), Monash University Museum of Art
