Cuddle Cot for Royal Darwin Hospital 2015
Soul Stories received a heartfelt email for Tash Foote a few nights ago ~ and after reading thee first few lines, I was absolutely onboard to being a tiny part of their incredible fundraising event. Will share a little of her background story below:
We are raising funds for a Cuddle Cot for Royal Darwin Hospital. This cot is a joint venture between Emerikus Land Foundation & The Hugo Effect. We will be donating it in memory of our babies Emerikus & Hugo, in the coming months.
Dealing with the death of a baby is an incredibly difficult time for parents, and many bereaved parents wish to spend time making memories with their baby.
The Cuddle Cot is used to cool deceased neonatals allowing the family time to spend time with the baby whilst the baby is kept cool. It is small, and quiet and is placed discreetly in a bassinet.
Within hours of receiving Tash’s special request as Soul Stories somehow being a part of their auction – I had picked out several pieces, photographed them and emailed all the details back to her. I hope with all of my heart that this special auction can raise as much as they can to have these incredible machines in every hospital… xx t
