In the previous years we’ve been blessed with some amazing items. SUMMARY:Save a Cow
DESCRIPTION:For the who are new to Soul Stories\, lm constantly tying my passions together\, and something lm very passionate about is being Vegan and taking care of animals in many ways. I’ve been meaning to sponsor a beautiful cow from this INSPIRING site (Save A Cow – Sponsorship – SAC Australia) for quite some time now\, and after watching one heartbreaking video on what happens to many ‘male’ calves in Australia (why this video l don’t know\, as l’ve seen hundreds) i couldnt stop crying\, so l jumped onto ‘Save a Cow’ on Facebook immediately.\nLucky for me\, a lovely lady called Kas was online\, updating details on the main page etc… I read through the most current cows that required sponsoring and l found this beauty (below) called  ‘BRUCE’. There was a string of comments under his photo\, people saying that they would sponsor him only if no one else would\, or would sponsor him later on by a certain date. Nawww\, poor little veggiemite\, he was so close to be sponsored but no one had fully committed. After reading up on ALL the  information and stories on their website\, l chatted with Kas and asked if l could Sponsor Bruce? Of course she answered ‘YES PLEASE’.\nI learnt that he’s only 15mths old\, and currently trying to find out his exact birth date\, as l have a funny feeling that his special day will be very close to mine…\nWill post more information below about Anthony’s journey and his passionate organisation ‘Save a Cow‘\nI may not change the world\, but l can save one life… and that simply means everything to that one life xx t \np.s Just found out that Bruce was born on January 26th\, 2015 ~ a little Australia Day bub… Nawwww. 😉 \n  \n    \n\n\n\nSave a Cow\nAnthony Walsgott founded Save a Cow and the Save A Cow Program in 2010 and in those five years has saved more than 200 cows\, calves\, steers and bulls from the slaughterhouse and dairy industries\, caring for them all on a number of Save A Cow Sanctuaries where they are living out the remainder of their natural lives safely and free from human exploitation and cruelty. Save A Cow is now by far one of the largest Farm Animal Rescue Sanctuaries in the world. Many of the cows\, calves\, steers and bulls have been rehabilitated and nursed back to health from their prior cruelty filled lives. Anthony Walsgott needs YOUR HELP to help all of the rescues\, so please open your heart to the cows\, calves\, steers and bulls and give generously to them thank you! \nDONATIONS\nSave A Cow saves individual cows on a large scale and enables the individual cow residents to live out their entire natural lives participating together in the complex social relationships they form with each other in their own Free Cow Society on Save A Cow sanctuaries. To help Save A Cow with this pioneering work please make a donation of your choice into the following Save A Cow bank account: \nThe full details for the Save A Cow bank account are:\nAccount Name: Save A Cow\nBank:ANZ Australia\nBSB:014645\nAccount Number:455573227\nBank Address:Corner of Teak & Maple Streets\, Maleny\, Qld 4552\, Australia\nSwift Code:ANZBAU3M (the Swift Code is for overseas people and it enables Australian bank accounts to be linked to overseas bank accounts) \nSPONSORSHIP OF A COW\nIt is $250 per year to sponsor a cow resident (please deposit your payment in the Save A Cow account above). This gives you 2 free visits to “Save A Cow Open Days” & 2 visits by appointment to see your sponsored cow & all the other cows who reside in the Save A Cow Sanctuaries. These 4 visits are transferable to someone else of your choice. If you cannot visit your sponsor cow at Save A Cow sanctuary where they are living in Queensland Australia\, then you can instead receive photographs and the biography of your sponsored cow resident. The two Save A Cow Sanctuaries that are visited on Open Days are located at Maleny and Conondale\, situated in the Sunshine Coast hinterland\, Queensland\, Australia \nTo look at some of the cows who are available for sponsorship please go to:  www.facebook.com/saveacow.1.sponsorship \nOnce you have chosen someone to sponsor please send an email to Anthony Walsgott saying who you would like to sponsor and I will confirm their availability. Also send me an email if you would like me to choose someone for you.

A craft group was initially formed which has evolved into full term program of activities\, guest speakers\, workshops and community based involvement. \nIn this time\, with much goodwill\, donations of materials and voluntary time from facilitators\, we have been able to provide the group with low cost activities\, excursions\, speakers and mental health practitioners who have presented on topics the group has identified as important for only a gold coin donation. With much thanks to Wellington Shire Council Quick Response Grant we are able to offer more range of activities over the next year whilst still keeping participant costs to a minimum. \nSale Women’s Support Group are a ‘Not For Profit’ social support group\nwho meet every Tuesday during the school term.\nTime: 1.00pm – 2.30pm a\nWhere: Sale Neighborhood House\n 19 – 23 Leslie Street\, Sale\, 3850 \nThe first ‘try before you buy’ group attendance is free however we have a minimal fee of $5 per group for casual attendance and $3 per group for full payment. \nOur program of activities are developed to promote community connection\, mental and physical wellbeing and inclusion whilst building resilience and skills for participants in a safe and supported environment. The role of the Sale Women’s Support Group and it’s committee is to provide a strengths based program for local women to develop skills\, share and gain knowledge in a safe social environment.\nThe aims of SWSG is to encourage wider community participation; supporting women through individual circumstances using our personal and group resources\, experience\, knowledge and skills. \nThere are no Age\, Ability or Cultural restrictions to attend. SUMMARY:Linden Postcard Show ~ 2015
DESCRIPTION:Sooooo\, this year l will NOT be missing out on this beautiful little (big) show. Unfortunately (and very fortunately) l was up in QLD last year\, assisting a beautiful ‘Awakenings Retreat’ ~ but that meant that l wasn’t able to catch the exhibition which featured over 900 works. And what’s even more surprising (well\, for me) is that l sold one Soul Stories piece\, from the three that were submitted… \nAnyways\, this year is a whole different ball game ~ this time I’m really looking forward to checking it out in the real\, to be inspired up close and to meet some wonderful artists…\nWinning prizes and selling my creations are the last thing on my mind. For me it’s so much more about pushing my artistic boundaries to meet the requirements of the show\, to build my confidence in getting my work out there and connecting with the public who might be a little bit touched by what they see. Of course l wouldn’t say that l ‘wouldn’t’ be over the moon if anything were to sell or win\, haha…\nHope to see some friendly faces on opening night\, much love & light\, t x \n. \n                                                 \n  \nOPENING CELEBRATION: Friday 18 September 2015 > 4 to 8PM \nThe much-loved Linden Postcard Show is an annual feature of the Linden calendar. An open entry exhibition for all artists from hobbyist\, emerging to established\, allows for an explosion of colour on the gallery walls. The only restriction is the size.\nAll works must be exactly 8 x 10 inches. \n“Only a few more sleeps before the opening of the wonderful Linden New Art Postcard Show.\nIt is another fabulous year this year\, so if you can’t get along to our opening tomorrow night between 4-8pm\, make sure you pop in to see the show before 21 November.” \n  \nFour judges have been selected to award the prizes and assist in celebrating the creativity of our community.\nThe 2015 Linden Postcard Show judges are: \n~ Abi Crompton\, Director\, Third Drawer Down \n~ Pat Mackle\, Managing Director\, Avant Card \n~ Francis Parker\, Curator (Exhibitions)\, Monash University Museum of Art \n~ Lisa Sullivan\, Curator\, Geelong Gallery \n  \n  \n  \n
